Fosters Needed

Yes, again! We have several litters of kittens that we are trying to move into foster. As you can see in this photo, there are lots of kittens jammed into a small carrier. Help us help them!

Please, please contact Julie at 714-756-0679. A carrier or a cage is no place for a kitten to spend its days and nights. Orange County, Long Beach/Belmont shores would be perfect. Thank you!

Music for Critters

Open Strum features Michel Goguen, a multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter from Moncton, Canada.  He has partnered with multiple artists in order to raise funds for animal rescue organizations. Southern Counties Rescue is part of his fundraising efforts.

What can you do to help?

You simply need to donate to Southern Counties Rescue then send Michel a message or comment on his social media. He will send you 25 songs by musicians that he loves as a gift.

Your name will also be entered for a chance to win one of several grand prizes to be drawn at the end of the fundraiser on September 30, 2018.

Here is the full list of artists and businesses that have joined the project.

Thank you!

We just wanted to take a moment and thank each and every one of you for sharing, networking and the offers to help. Each time we post a plea for help, the response is overwhelming. People sharing, networking and offering to foster, even when it means stepping out of their comfort zone. We are so grateful for your support. This kitten season is particularly brutal and we couldn’t save the kitties without you!

Foster Needed!

One of our wonderful foster families is unable to foster the mom and three kittens they have been fostering for the past five weeks.   We need someone to take over fostering these cuties, or even adopt them. Two of the five original kittens have already been adopted; the three above (Ivan, Kylo and Leon), and their very sweet mom, still need homes.

Please contact Julie at or 714-756-0679. Please network and share.  The current foster is in Anaheim and we need someone quickly, preferably in Orange County or north San Diego County.

Memorial Day Adoption Event

Our next adoption event is this Saturday, May 26th at Petco San Juan Capistrano from noon to 4 pm.

Join us! Over a dozen kittens and 10 teenagers/young adults will be there, including M&M, Flash, and ZigZag. Our kittens are adorable, but please don’t overlook our super playful teenagers and adults. They are all looking for their forever homes.

You can see all of our adoptable kitties here. If you’d like to meet a particular kitty on Saturday, please fill out a no-obligation application so we can arrange for them to be there.

All of our kitties are fostered in homes so we know their personalities. We will help you make the perfect match…and if for some reason it doesn’t work out we will take our kitties back.

Saturday, May 26th, noon until 4PM at Petco, 32391 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano.
