It will be a fun evening of painting, pie, and socializing. $40 per adult / $30 for 16 and under (your food order is separate). We need your help! The rescue is positively bursting at the seams with kittens, and our resources — both fosters and financial — are running low. It’s getting very hard to take in new rescues.

So to try to place as many kittens as we can in great homes, our adoption event next Saturday will be all about the kittens! We’ll be posting just some of our kittens all week, and you can see all of them here.

Please help us promote this event! Share, retweet, pin, reblog. Share to Nextdoor if you’re in the area. Print the image and post it. If you know of anyone with lots of social media followers in Southern California, please ask them to help too.

Fosters Needed!

HELP NEEDED NOW! This time of year is hard for rescues. We get so many pleas for help and we feel helpless because we are limited. Right now, there are multiple situations that our rescue is trying to help with. A colony of cats are in imminent danger of being picked up by animal control and taken to a shelter where they will be euthanized. There are at least two pregnant moms and three moms with babies that we can move as soon as we have fosters. In addition, there are two pregnant moms living outside and three nursing moms that are outdoors as well…with their kittens. ⠀

Bottom line is WE NEED FOSTERS! All you need is a small room to keep them in so mom can do her thing. It’s for a short time, rescue provides all vetting and placement of kitties. Please, please open your hearts and homes and help us save these kitties. Update on our Bunny Boo!

Our little Bunny was released from the hospital! Apparently while examining “her,” the doc discovered “she” is actually a “he!” Oops!!

We have to monitor him very closely, make sure he eats every 3-4 hours and administer medications. In a day or two he will be reunited with his siblings! We are so very happy and thankful to the staff at VSMG in San Juan Capistrano for saving this little guy.

Here is a picture of him with our rescue rep who raced him to the hospital and stayed with him. This is why we do what we do!

Help Bunny Boo

Bunny Boo and her two siblings were put in a box and dumped in someone’s yard.  Our rescue was contacted and we took them in.  One look at the kittens and we knew  Bunny was dying.  We rushed her to a 24 hour hospital close by.  The doctor told us that her temperature was extremely low,  she was hypoglycemic and severely dehydrated.  All very serious, especially to a tiny kitten. The hospital told us they would try to save her.

Our rescue believes that every animal deserves a chance.  If there is a way to save them, we take it.   Through no fault of her own, she was dumped in a box and dropped in someone’s yard.  She deserved a chance and we were going to give it to her.

Help needed — abandoned cats

Courtesy Post. We have been contacted by someone on Facebook about three cats that are homeless and living on the streets in Fullerton. It seems that his neighbor moved out and left the three cats behind. The neighbor has been doing his best to feed them and find them a home. He is unable to continue due to health problems and will be taking them to the Orange County Shelter. If you know of anyone or any rescue that could place these cats that would be great. They are all friendly and due to no fault of there own have been left behind. If you could provide a home or know of a rescue that could help please contact us at info@southerncountiesrescue.org.
